the art of madness - Nathan Angelo

This is a blog dedicated to all of you out there who appreciate the random 'art of madness' that the wonderful world of technology has placed at our finger tips and into our pockets. You will find, here, all things Nathan Angelo: some will be funny, some stupid, some informative, and there might even be things that are musical as well.

‘So Much I Don’t Know’ - Cover performed by Saraah Hicks

Last week, a girl -by the name of Saraah- sent me what she called a gift. She sang an acapella version of my song, ‘So Much I Don’t Know’, and posted it to youtube. I was moved by her soulful interpretation. She went on to tell me that she has been inspired by my music to pursue her own music. This truly was a gift to me - to know that what I do can inspire others to follow their dreams.

I have had a number of people ask me along the way, “How does one go about pursuing music?” Here is how I often respond:

If you wake up in the morning with a song on your lips, sing that song with all your heart. If you have an idea that you want to write to music, chase it down until you find it. If you want to perform, practice until you can’t practice any more. This is true also for any other profession out there. Whatever you desire to do (and have some sort of proclivity towards), dive into it and don’t wait for people to affirm you. If you are good at what you do, people WILL naturally affirm you. Do it because you can’t NOT do it! And who knows who you’ll be inspiring next. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

I present to you the ‘Tuesday Treat’ for this week!
