the art of madness - Nathan Angelo

This is a blog dedicated to all of you out there who appreciate the random 'art of madness' that the wonderful world of technology has placed at our finger tips and into our pockets. You will find, here, all things Nathan Angelo: some will be funny, some stupid, some informative, and there might even be things that are musical as well.

Ryan Horne - ‘It’s Over Now’ (written by Ryan Horne & Nathan Angelo)

It’s TUESDAY again & you know what that means: TUESDAY TREAT! I could not think of a better TREAT to share with you all then a very special song that I wrote with my good friend, Ryan Horne.

“Who is Ryan Horne?” you say. Well, I’m glad you asked. I met Ryan a few years back in Atlanta. I’d heard of him & his music, but we had never connected outside of cyberspace. We started hanging out & writing songs. And a crazy thing happened…we became good friends.

The first few songs that we wrote together -‘All Hope Ain’t Gone’ & ‘Palm of Your Hands’- each took a few writing sessions to complete. Sometimes the writing process can be fast and sometimes it can be slow. We were very happy with what we had come up with up to that point, but this next song was very special to me because of the way that it came about. Ryan began describing an emotion to me that he wanted to capture in a song, and I could immediately feel it in the air as thick as the fog on a humid night. I started playing the piano part that you hear at the top & the song fell right into our laps. It was like it was in the room with us, and all we had to do was pull it out of the air. It was done in no time, and we knew we had something special.

Well, that’s that. Be sure to check out the rest of his record -The Whistler & the Majestic- that he released today. It’s epic! Here’s the link on iTunes: tinyurl.com/44t4pzr
